SEVAIN / SEVEN SCENES OF ARRIVAL

From journey to remaining,
an object crosses seven scenes.

From a threshold at the end of the mountain road, to an unspoken wish in a dark chamber, to metal placed in the palm at morning. Zakiram’s story does not remain far away; it moves closer, becoming a small light carried across the next threshold.

Side light enters by the doorway and finds five low points across the floor.

01

THRESHOLD / ENTER

The road pauses at the door.

A journey does not end the moment one arrives. The door separates the mountain road behind from the interior ahead; only by slowing here can one know what should be carried inside.

Warm gold edges hold a deep-blue chamber, leaving the centre for someone yet to arrive.

02

CHAMBER / WAIT

The centre waits for an unspoken wish.

Five low points of light hold the deep-blue room. They offer no answer; they simply illuminate scattered thoughts, so waiting is no longer a darkness without direction.

At morning, a pair of hands folds mineral into paper while the mountains remain beyond the door.

03

MORNING / OPEN

At morning, material first meets the palm.

Paper opens to reveal mineral face, metal edge, and cord in sequence. Here a distant figure is reduced to a tactile scale, and an object passes from story into everyday life.

Two people exchange a folio at dusk; its gold edge catches the day’s final light.

04

HANDOVER / GIVE

At dusk, an object begins to belong to someone else.

A folio moves from one pair of hands to another, carrying a name and a line of words. The meaning of a gift does not end when wrapping is complete; it begins when the recipient opens it.

At night, a drawer returns to shadow while a single red marker remains near the hand.

05

ARCHIVE / KEEP

At night, return the day gently to a drawer.

A worn object leaves the body and returns to paper and shadow. Storage is not the end of the story, but a place held for the next wearing; this is how time enters its surface.

Snow peaks and high wind cross the wall; green cloth beside the door leaves a sense of direction.

06

WIND / DEPART AGAIN

High wind crosses the threshold; direction returns.

The snow peaks have not come closer, yet cloth beside the door makes the wind visible. One cannot know the whole road in advance, but a small sign in the present can decide the next step.

At midnight, only one side of the round metal surface is lit; curtain and stone recede into shadow.

07

REFLECTOR / RETURN

At midnight, the reflector keeps half the light.

The story returns to a quiet round surface. It displays no answer, only the person standing before it. Journey, remaining, wish, and choice close together here as a memory carried near the body.

A MAP MADE OF DETAILS

Eaves, steps, and doorways,
leave a direction along the road.

Wet stone remembers the rain, mountains keep their distance, and a niche gathers low light indoors. From open ground, a traveller crosses the boundary and reaches a place where a wish can rest.

FROM THE ROAD TO THE BODY

After the story,
return to the one you would wear again.

Notice how much space it takes beneath a collar or at the ear, how movement changes its direction, and which detail image makes you linger. Choosing is not about finding an ending to the story; it is about finding a form that can stay with your daily life.
